better at it. To my abject humiliation, he’d point out the malformed body parts on my cowboys and Indians.
My excuse: ‘Um, it’s supposed to look that way—it’s a cartoon.’”
During the eighties, Rob’s comic strip “Brother Biddle” was a fixture in the satirical magazine The Wittenburg
Door. He contributed many other ’toons to magazines such as Leadership and Christianity Today. These were
collected by InterVarsity Press in two collections. Biddle, too, appeared in his own Zondervan collection. Rob also
created a whirlwind tour of Christian history for HIS magazine. “Church History 101” is presented here in its
